Journey

I’ve spent more than 15 years designing, building, and scaling cloud-native systems in the hospitality industry. My focus has been on revenue management, SaaS platforms, and, more recently, AI-powered forecasting tools.

In 2012, I co-founded Revcaster, a real-time hotel pricing intelligence platform that helped thousands of hotels make smarter rate decisions. We processed millions of data points every day and earned a #1 customer rating on Hotel Tech Report. In 2015, Revcaster was acquired by The Rainmaker Group, where I led product integration and expansion across their platform.

Today, I lead engineering at Best Western Hotels & Resorts, helping modernize mission-critical systems used by more than 4,500 properties worldwide. I serve as Senior Engineering Manager, guiding cross-functional teams that deliver high-impact software. One of our flagship projects is BestRev 2.0, an AI-powered forecasting tool supporting better revenue decisions across the brand.

I also founded Wise Revenue Management (Wise RM) to keep pushing innovation in hospitality analytics—building custom APIs, serverless platforms, and real-time data tools for hotel operators of all sizes.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition for this work, including HSMAI’s Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales & Marketing for Revcaster.

My Tech Philosophy

At heart, I’m a builder. I still write code, design systems, and stay deeply involved in the work. I believe great engineering leaders contribute directly and understand the full stack.

  • Build practical solutions that solve real problems
  • Reduce developer friction and improve team velocity
  • Apply AI in ways that create meaningful outcomes for users

Tools I Reach For

Outside of Work

My most important job is being a dad. My son Alex is the reason I advocate for autism research and awareness. Our family joined the SPARK for Autism project, which gave us life-changing answers about his condition (Baraitser-Winter Syndrome). Sharing our experience helped us find the right care and gave us a way to support other families going through similar challenges.

When I have free time, you might find me:

  • Participating in hackathons
  • Painting or tinkering with a 3D printer
  • Watching sci‑fi with Alex
  • Building tools for our school community (like a better calendar app for parents)
